Meet the Team – Abby Simpson
Last month, we welcomed History graduate Abby Simpson to our UK team. With writing and technology being a passion of Abby’s, Touchdown was the obvious place to start her career within PR.
We asked a few quick-fire questions to get to know our newest teammate a little bit better
Ice cream or cake?
Cake 100%. Nothing beats cake
Favorite book you’ve read?
Gone Girl, by Gillian Flynn
Music or podcasts?
Probably music, unless it’s a true crime podcast and then it’s a tie
Why Touchdown PR?
I love writing and I love being creative, so PR sounded perfect and I’ve also always been interested in tech and gadgets, so Touchdown PR was a great mix of two of my interests
Best gift you’ve ever received?
My brother brought me a poster for Christmas which was a really niche reference to my favourite show, The Office US (for anyone who watches The Office, it was a movie poster for ‘Threat Level Midnight’)
Describe yourself in 3 words?
Friendly, creative, talkative
Do you have a hidden talent?
I am scarily good at Mario Kart
Favorite author?
When I was younger I read every Sophie Mackenzie book I could find and I still feel very nostalgic seeing her books
What is your nickname?
My friends tend to shorten my name to “abs”, but that’s about it
Greatest achievement?
Finishing my MA in the middle of a pandemic
