Busy but Successful at VMworld 2018

The Touchdown team was once again in Las Vegas for another action-packed week at VMworld, one of our favorite events of the year. The team stayed busy for the three days spent in Las Vegas, with 34 press briefings and multiple live videos shot on the show floor with our clients US Signal, Zerto, Nexsan, Scale Computing and E8 Storage. A busy but successful event ensured our clients could connect with the media to discuss their latest news and preview future announcements.

While the event can be hectic, planning for the show is key to guaranteeing a smooth, successful week. The extensive planning for the show started long before any of the team arrived in the desert, laying out each and every meeting and event for the week to help link up journalists and clients. The schedule was full from start to finish, and it was crucial that everyone knew where they needed to be, and when. Armed with the strategic plan, the Touchdown team successfully sorted the week and all of the twists and turns that came with it!

But the week wasn’t all work and no play. We also had the pleasure of attending our client Zerto’s customer appreciation party for a night filled with good food, drinks and music at the House of Blues! DJ Lydia Ansel transformed today’s hits with a mixture of her violin and DJ skills, and the Ten Band, the #1 Pearl Jam tribute band in the country, rocked the night away.

Between the expo and the after hours events, relationships were strengthened and new bonds were made through conversation about the industry and PR. The three days spent in Vegas were undoubtedly busy, but our team had a blast. Thanks again for another great time, VMworld, and we will see you in Barcelona this fall!
