Touchdown EVP Emily Gallagher Recognised As Women Of Influence in Texas

Nine months after landing in Austin – America’s uber-cool tech-hub city – our executive vice president and US team leader, Emily Gallagher, has been shortlisted as one of Texas’s most powerful women in business by the Austin Business Journal. Not bad progress for being in town less than a year! To be fair, Emily has had a great ride in Austin so far. Three major new account wins under her belt has meant Touchdown USA is now our biggest region by revenue. She’s also added almost 50% more headcount to the team too – and while our new hires are working out well, she’s still looking for more talent.

Emily has been recognised as one of the Austin Business Journal 2018 Profiles in Power nominees

As such, Emily is now hosting the entire Touchdown PR global organisation in September for our bi-annual company kickoff and offsite – we’ll be flying in from the UK, France, Germany and Netherlands to join our US colleagues. We’re dusting off our Stetsons, cleaning our riding boots and looking forward to a warm Texas welcome. Warm indeed – it’ll likely be 40 degrees or more when we’re there!

As Emily helps write the next chapter at Touchdown, we can look back and reflect on where we’ve come from, what we’ve achieved, and the great clients we’ve had who’ve become friends along the way. Our job has never been an easy one – it has its challenges, its highs and occasional lows. Emily has held many roles at Touchdown over the past 10 years – from cheerleader and mentor to colleague and friend. To see her acknowledged like this makes us all feel a little warmer inside. From us all – thank you and good luck Emily!
