IFSEC 2018 – a masterclass in cyber and physical security

By Hattie Curl, Junior Account Executive, Touchdown PR

Yesterday, the team joined around 27,000 security professionals in London and spent the day at IFSEC, Europe’s leading security event, which focuses on the future of integrated cyber and physical security.

This was Touchdown’s inaugural time at the show, and a great success.  As well as doing a floor show survey of the attendants for one of our clients, we were lucky enough to see the BBC’s Security Correspondent, Frank Gardener, deliver his opening address. We also enjoyed the opportunity to attend other interesting, valuable demonstrations and speakers.  The technology on display was intriguing and eye-opening, and the team learnt a lot.

A plethora of insightful talks, demos and, of course, freebies peppered the show – the 8-in-1 multi-screwdriver with LED lighting will definitely come in handy one day!  It’s a truly international event with hundreds of different countries represented and a variety of flags being flown all over the event.  IFSEC is running until tomorrow if you fancy popping over to the ExCel to learn more about security – otherwise we’ll see you there next year.
